- Magnetic Surveys
-
Consult with our Principle Investigator to determine if the
conditions at your site have the potential to yield good magnetic results.
Z-Too will help you design and conduct the best possible magnetic survey for
your site. You will receive a written report, including maps which
potentially highlight areas of archaeological interest. You will also
receive all collected raw data on a CD so that you may use additional
mapping software at a later date.
- Magnetometry Training for Archaeologists
-
This 2-day class provides in depth instruction on the best way to
conduct a magnetic survey. You will learn how to map and interpret the
data collected from your magnetic survey. The training includes hands
on use of a Geometrics 858-G cesium magnetometer configured as a
gradiometer. Classes are limited to three people.
- Lectures and Demonstrations
-
College or high school level instruction on the use of
magnetometry, ground-penetrating radar, and other remote sensing
technologies used in the field of archaeology. A magnetic survey
demonstration is included, time and weather permitting.
